Bail Applications
If you are bail refused, you will be held in jail, or in the police cells, pending a bail application.
You are innocent until proven guilty and you have a basic right to be free but you do not get unlimited bail applications. The ones that you do run have to be professionally conducted to give you the best chance of getting out.
A word of advice – even though you may feel panicked and in danger, do not rush your bail application. To be granted bail, your application has to be compelling. If you are bail refused on one occasion, things can get complex very quickly.
