How Do I Apply For Local Court Bail?

Firstly, we lodge a bail application form for you with the relevant local court registry and serve the application upon the prosecution/police officer.

The bail application will be listed. The applications are normally prioritised so the wait should not be a long one. During the local court bail application you will either appear in person at court, or on the AVL screen.
Prior to the bail application, we will stay in constant contact with you to take instructions and prepare affidavits, letters from surety, letter of consent from person who has agreed to allow the accused person to reside with him/her, and any other necessary materials in support of the bail application to strengthen it.

We enjoy a strong record of setting people at liberty. If we are successful with your bail application you could be free within hours.

If the application is unsuccessful you can, in certain circumstances, make a second Local Court Bail application.
