How Do I Apply For Appeals Bail?

If you are appealing a court sentence for a serious crime, you should apply for bail. Once you are sentenced to imprisonment, if you are on bail it is cancelled and you must reapply.

Firstly, you have to lodge the conviction or severity appeal. Then you lodge the bail appeal.

If the bail appeal is granted, then the person will be released with or without bail conditions at least until the appeal is finalised in court.

If the bail appeal is refused, then the person will remain in custody to serve the sentence while the appeal proceedings continue at least until it is finalised in court.
