Fixed fee pricing provides security for clients. Nott and Co Lawyers offer a fixed fee service for a variety of matters and service, with capped billable hours incorporated. In this way, clients can better understand the potential fees associated with the normal conduct of their matter. If there are unforeseen complications, any additional hours will be billed at standard professional legal fees.
Criminal Matters Fixed Fees
Plea of Guilty Fees – Plea of guilty in the local court
- Greater Sydney $1,500 + GST
- Newcastle, Central Coast, Wollongong and South Coast): $2,000 + GST
- Courts in NSW Country Areas: $2,200 + GST and travel costs
Defend NOT Guilty Plea Fees when defending the matter in the local court
- Greater Sydney $5,000 + GST
- Newcastle, Central Coast, Wollongong and South Coast): $5,500 + GST
- Courts in NSW Country Areas: $6000 + GST and travel costs
For these fixed fees we will represent you at your first court date, called a mention, at any compliance mention and at a single day of hearing when the matter should be decided.
All negotiations with police, pre-trial conferences and submissions, and managing of witnesses are included leaving you to focus on a positive outcome. If there are more than two court dates, additional fees will have to apply but you will be kept in the loop at every step.
Bail Application Fees are as follows –
- Greater Sydney $2,000 + GST
- Newcastle, Central Coast, Wollongong and South Coast): $2,500 + GST
- Courts in NSW Country Areas: $3,500 + GST and travel costs
Supreme court bail applications can be arranged on a fixed fee basis but will be decided on a case-by-case basis due to variables.
Habitual Offender Application Fees including applications to quash habitual offender declarations
- Greater Sydney $2,000 + GST
- Newcastle, Central Coast, Wollongong and South Coast): $2,500 + GST
- Courts in NSW Country Areas: $3,000 + GST and travel costs
Local Court Sentence Appeals including appealing against a severe local court sentence to the District Court
- Greater Sydney $2,000 + GST
- Newcastle, Central Coast, Wollongong and South Coast): $2,500 + GST
- Courts in NSW Country Areas: $3,000 + GST and travel costs
- Greater Sydney $3500 + GST

Mental Health Application Fees
In some circumstances, courts will dismiss your criminal charges due to your mental health circumstances. Making these applications can be a complex process and requires specific clinical reporting and the development of mental health plans to ensure that your receive treatment rather than punishment. Such applications require a report from a psychologist or psychiatrist which normally cost in the range of $2500 which is an expense in addition to the legal fees.

Traffic and Driving Matters Fixed Fees
Driving and Traffic Offence Fees including General Traffic and Driving Matters
$1,500 plus GST for a plea of guilty and submissions in mitigation for the following offences:
- Drug driving
- Drink driving
- Driving while suspended or disqualified
- Speeding
- Run traffic lights or road signs
- Use mobile phone
- General traffic regulatory offences as agreed.
Driver licence appeals against suspension and or/penalties
- Greater Sydney City: $2,000 + GST plus court filing fees

- $700 plus GST
Civil Matters Fixed Fees
AVO Application Fees including AVPOs and ADVOs in the Greater Sydney area
- $600 +GST to appear in local court and finalise orders as drafted by police.
- $1200 +GST to negotiate orders with police, draft and make submissions in relation to variations to orders, seek revocation of orders
- $3000 + GST to contest orders and seek to have orders revoked.
